NEW DELHI: German -based Lufthansa Airline canceled its two flights due to the pilots’ strike, police said on Friday at 700 passengers at the Terminal -3 of the IGI Airport, police said.
According to police, more than 100 people, relatives and family members of the trapped passenger, demanded a refund.
The departure gate number 1, Terminal 3 IGI airport at 12.15 pm, was gathered on the main road in front of the IGI airport, a senior police official said.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police informed that the crowd caused by a traffic jam to urge his relatives to attend the terminal building for a refund, said
People were outraged when the planes were canceled without any forecast. He was later consoled by the CISF Airport staff.
Two aircraft of Lufthansa, one of them had to leave for 2.50 with 300 passengers.
All the Lufthansa pilots have been canceled from the Lufthansa headquarters due to a one -day strike demanding the increase in salaries, police said.
Police have reported that the airline is taking steps to make alternative arrangements.
