SILK MARK EXPO 2022, BANGALORE

Bengaluru, August 2022, while celebrating important functions and festivals, women all over India choose to wear Pure Silk – the Queen of Textiles. These expos also provide a platform to the genuine Weavers, Co-operatives, Societies, Women Entrepreneurs, Traders, etc. to showcase and sell their products to consumers who understand the value of pure silk.

The unique feature of these expos is that not only one gets to see a wide variety of silks from numerous silk weaving clusters from across India but also experience and choose from the all 4 types of commercial silks namely Mulberry, Tasar, Eri and Muga. In addition to that, one can be absolutely sure that each and every product being sold at the expo is 100% pure silk assured by the Silk Mark Label. There is also a live Silk Testing Counter at the expo to ensure one is able to test the purity of the silk they purchase instantly absolutely free of cost.

The theme pavilions of the Silk Mark Organisation of India at the expo attract a lot of attention as they present a glimpse of the sericulture industry with cocoon, yarn and fabric display.

The Silk Mark Expo 2022 is scheduled from 4th August to 8th August 2022 at Rangoli Metro Art Centre, M.G. Road Metro Station, Bengaluru. The expo will be open to all from morning 11:00 am till evening 7:00pm during this period.

This expo has around 28 stalls put up by Authorised Users of Silk Mark from all over India covering 08-10 states representing approximately 12 silk weaving clusters. It has diversified silk products like Tassar Silk sarees with fancy designs having embroidery with contrast color, Kantha work, Tassar shirts & Jackets, Eri Silk socks, Silk bags, Shirts, Dhotis, Blouses and Garments apart from traditional Kanjivaram, Banarasi, Pochampally, Murshidabad, Mysore Silk, Uppada, Paithani etc., sarees.

The Silk Mark Expo 2022 Bengaluru Inaugurated by Shri. Rajit Ranjan Okhandiar, IFS, CEO & Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, Bengaluru in the august presence of Smt. Kalpana Kataria, IRS, Executive Director, Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), Bengaluru at 3:30 pm on 4th August 2022 at Rangoli Metro Art Centre, M.G. Road Metro Station, Bengaluru.
