Madam, Sub: along with other associations in Karnataka, namely Rajajinagar Industrial Association Bommasandra Industrial Association, BANSSIA, BACSSIA, Machohalli Small Scale Industries Association, Karnataka State Polymers Association and Mysore Industries Association has decided to call for a peaceful bundh on Monday, the 20™ December 2021. On December 18, Micro and Small Industries have decided to participate on the peaceful bundh to be held on Monday, the 20h December 2021 on accord of spiraling prices of raw materials, wherein supporting and participating with PIA for this cause. more than 10,000 SME units are Due to Covid-19 there has been steep fall of economy and added to this the steep prices of raw materials are causing multiple problems to MSMES particularly SME segments. In this regard, PIA President Sri.B.Muralikrishna has requested the entrepreneurs to close their industrial units and to support for the peaceful demonstration at 11:00 am. PIA President while addressing the media has stated that All India Council of Association of MSMES (AICA), in co-ordination with other associations that are narticipating is estimated to be around 170 MSME Associations – Pan India called for closure for one day of all industries and one hour peaceful demonstrations in front of the Collectorate / District Magistrate offices.is decided to shut down al the national level against the steep hike in raw material prices. Peenya Industrial Area is the largest MSME sector in South Asia with over 10 thousand industries covering 48 square kilometers, has got that 6,500 members were registered under its umbrella. The abnormal rise in raw materials across the country is a cause for grave concern. He said the Central and State Governments should work together to protect the Micro and Small and medium enterprises that provides largest employment in the country to about 70% population next to agricultural sector which is the basis for lively hood are the foundation of the country’s economic security .
