Bengalure: Fast-flying supersonic planes shorten travel times. Why not build all these planes at the same speed? Supersonic aircraft are high-speed airplanes that fly at speeds exceeding the speed of sound. Therefore, the maintenance of such aircraft would be extremely expensive for supersonic aircraft. Similarly, planes moving at speeds above the speed of sound should be very thin and sharp. Airplanes of this type do not carry passengers as they do on regular flights. In addition, when a plane flies at a speed higher than the speed of sound, there is a risk of sound produced by damage to buildings and other structures on the ground. Therefore supersonic aircraft must fly over uninhabited areas or over the seas. This will block its paths. For all these reasons, operating a supersonic aircraft is not profitable for airlines. Soviet Russia launched supersonic passenger aircraft in 1977 and retrieved it in 1983. Britain and France also began passenger service on supersonic flights in 1976, but discontinued it in 2003.
