Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the 87th All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana to be held for three days in the sugar city of Mandya.

The 87th All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana organized in Mandya, which is known as the most Kannada-speaking district in Karnataka and is also known as the sugar city, was inaugurated with great pride and joy.

Sri Adi Chunchanagiri Sri Nirmalanandanath Swamiji was present. The president of the conference, Nadoja Dr. Go.R. Channabasappa, senior writers Dr. Doddarangegowda, Jnanpith awardee Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kambara, were on the stage.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Cheluvanarayanaswamy, Social Welfare Minister Dr. H.C.C. Mahadevappa, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Muniyappa, Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Thangadgi, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Rudrappa Lamani, MLAs P.M. Narendra Swamy, P. Ravikumar, M.B., Ramesh Bandi Siddegowda, Darshan Puttannaiah, K.M. Udaya and dignitaries were present.

A sea of ​​people flocked to the Akshara city

A sea of ​​people flocked to the 87th All India Literature Conference being held in the sugar city of Mandya beyond expectations.

Local citizens, women, and students arrived in droves from 8 am to enjoy the literary festival. Kannada fans, writers, and literature enthusiasts from various districts of the state arrived in the city on Thursday itself.

The district administration made elaborate arrangements for the delegates who arrived for the literary festival, and people expressed their appreciation for the festival.

Due to the large crowd gathered in the procession and on the main stage, and as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incident, the district police department had made heavy security arrangements. A total of 3,200 police personnel have been deployed for the literary festival.

Since city transport buses were provided free of cost in Mandya city, thousands of people also participated in the literary festival.

In the wake of the declaration of holiday for schools and colleges, most of the students, teachers, and lecturers of the city and the district participated in the literary festival. As the Honorable Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the President of the conference arrived on the stage, an unprecedented welcome was extended.
