Bengaluru : JDS leaders, former MLAs Gaurisankar from Tumkur Rural Constituency, R Manjunath from Bangalore Dasarahalli joined the Congress party in the presence of CM Siddaramaiah, KPCC President, DCM DK Shivakumar along with their hugely supportive leaders and supporters at KPCC’s Bharat Jodo Bhawan on Wednesday. KPCC Vice President BL Shankar, KPCC Working President Salim Ahmed, MLA Narendraswamy, Dr. Ranganath, Nelamangala Srinivasaiah, Political Secretary to CM and Member of Legislative Council K Govindaraju, Naseer Ahmed and others were present.

“Gopalaiah and ST Somashekhar told on phone that if DK Sivakumar is announced as Chief Minister, they will come back from Mumbai. But Kumaraswamy did not mention my name,” said DCM DK Shivakumar indirectly attacking Kumaraswamy.

R Manjunath With the intention of providing justice to the voters of our constituency, Siddaramaiah’s administration and D.K. I, Gowrishankar and Prasad Gowda are joining the Congress party following Shivakumar’s leadership.
I was a Congressman for 20-25 years. I worked with SM Krishna for 19 years. After he became the governor, I contested the election. I worked 24/7 under all circumstances including covid. However, I lost the election by a margin of four and a half thousand votes.
We left the party and joined the Congress after the JDS party formed an alliance with the BJP. BJP leaders have harassed us for the past 15 years. We cannot ally with such people. We cannot form an alliance with those who oppose the development of the field. Even though I am an MLA, they said alas about giving grants. Troubled for four years. Because of this, the people of the constituency should join the Congress.
Even if the plans of the Congress government reach the people, no one talks about them. But BJP lies to hit the truth on the head. These government guarantee schemes have reached people. Many projects under the corporation are reaching out to people from all walks of life. How many ministers went to jail during Yeddyurappa’s government? Such a taint has never come to the Congress government.
We have D.K. I have a lot of admiration for Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah. He has seen us with great love and trust. We cannot go along with the communal BJP. We have had a very clean politics. We need cooperation from the government. It should be good for the people of our constituency.
I am the one who has brought grants to the High Court Metelliri constituency in the entire country in the BJP government. However, he was not allowed to work. He transferred the officers and made the work go ahead. I will work for Congress party with party loyalty and discipline.

We have met Kumaraswamy and told him that if we form an alliance with the BJP, we will not continue in the party. In the villages of my constituency, our workers do not join hands with the BJP. To that extent, we will do stubborn politics.
