Farmers accused KIADB
Bengaluru: land acquisition order issued by the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, a subsidiary body of the Government of Karnataka, has caused great anxiety among the farmers of our taluk. It will bring great hardship to the lives of millions of farmers who are living on agriculture. The fear of farmers falling to the street has started. A situation is being created where agricultural lands are acquired and industries are built there and the original farmers are displaced. Dalits and Wakkas are the original residents living here for generations. The government here is doing the work of bringing together the Reddys and other ethnic groups and bringing the residents of other states.
Already in our taluk we are facing many problems like 6 industrial zones, 4 karnataka housing board zones, 2 IT hubs due to huge loss of agricultural land, groundwater depletion, environmental pollution, lack of drinking water, social insecurity, population explosion. Many farmers lost their agricultural land and fell into the streets. If this continues, a situation will arise where our next generation will not get to see the farming class of the taluk.
Therefore, we should be alerted in advance against such unscientific and illegal orders issued by the government. We have to fight immediately to save our ground water and our existence. In addition to this, a large convention of farmers of Anekal taluk has been arranged on Saturday 04 January 2025.
Therefore, all farmers, senior leaders, leaders of organizations and citizens of the taluk should participate in this program in large numbers and show our unity to the government. Through this we have to send a message to the government that we will not give up even one bit of land for any reason. So let’s all the citizens and farmers of Anekal taluk come together in large numbers to make the program a success. Presedent KC Devarajaiah Mrs. Renuka, Mr. Marasu Krishna
