Bengaluru: Tuesday, 25.03.2025, Indefinite struggle to fulfill our demands at Freedom Park, Bengaluru Since 2017, about 9000 new rural distributors have been appointed by the Oil Marketing Company across the country, with the aim of providing employment to about 40 to 60 thousand rural people and the central government had appointed these new distributors so that the people of the rural areas could get gas cylinders within a radius of fifteen kilometers as per the rules. Mr. Baravaraj president of LPG Federation said in Bengaluru. But the old Baladya distributors and officials have cheated the new distributors and rural consumers by giving lame excuses. Also, some rural distributors are facing a situation of drinking poison without investing capital and without work, thousands of such distributors are suffering across the country. Who is responsible for all this? Who will fix this? When the Union Government’s Fuel Minister and OMC officials brought it to the notice of a year ago, no action has been taken even after a year. Our struggle against this.
Indefinite strike by rural distributors demanding fulfillment of various demands
|As per the statement of the Honorable Union Petroleum Minister and as per the Unified Guidelines, OMCs have not taken any action to stop them from operating beyond the 15 km radius.
2 Due to lack of proper management by the company, rural distributors have been forced to travel far to provide a refill and incur high transportation costs.
