NEW DELHI: Sri Lanka has spent Rs 3226 crore on terrorism and development projects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a loan. The Prime Minister made the announcement of aid to the island nation at a joint press conference after bilateral talks with Sri Lanka’s new President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Friday.
“India will fully support Sri Lanka in its rapid development. 2867 crore for development projects as a first step. And Rs 358 crore to level terrorism. We are going to provide assistance. Sri Lankan police officers are already being trained in India’s security agencies, ”Modi said. Security in the future is more towards strengthening trade agreements
