Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni shared a selfie video with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, captioned “Hello from the Melodi team,” showcasing their camaraderie during Modi’s visit to Apulia, southern Italy.
The leaders met on Friday, marking Modi’s first foreign visit since beginning his historic third term. He thanked Meloni for inviting him to the G7 Summit.
In response, Modi reshared the video, expressing, “Long live India-Italy friendship!”
Earlier on Saturday, a viral selfie of the leaders at the G7 Summit circulated online. They previously shared a selfie during the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai last December, with Meloni noting, “Good friends at COP28, #Melodi.”
During their bilateral talks, Modi described his meeting with Meloni as productive, focusing on enhancing India-Italy relations in commerce, energy, defense, telecom, biofuels, food processing, and critical minerals.
