Bengaluru: 68th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in a special and meaningful way on Wednesday with a bang of Kannada in the city on the occasion of 50 years since the state of Bengaluru was renamed as Karnataka.
The Kannada festival was celebrated in the streets and streets of the city. First, flag hoisting, national anthem, floral tributes were paid to Mother Bhubaneswari’s portrait. Red-yellow flags symbolizing Kannada’s presence and existence were hoisted everywhere. A procession of folk art troupes depicting the culture of the state was also held at various places. Auto drivers put Kannada flags and Kannada songs on their autos to spread the love for the language.

In the last 50 years all the governments have been neglecting Kannada and not showing any real concern. Kannada works that stand strong in terms of language have not been done. “The Kannada language is from the people who speak Kannada, so the privilege that should be given to the Kannada language still remains culture and literature. It is not available in every house, therefore, the Kannadigas here and the culture in the kitchen, backyard, yard and garage are facing a lot of problems,” said Kannada because of the common people who speak Kannada.
