Now, there is information that Kannada medium students have passed in a very low percentage in the results. Kannada students are saying that the reason for this is the poorly prepared Kannada translation of the question papers. All these students are from rural areas and come from socially backward classes. How can the government sit silently even though injustice is being done to such people?

Several students are talking to me every day. They are telling me about their suffering. It is as if their future life has been thrown on the street. They had been preparing for this exam for so many years. Their parents have also sacrificed for this. If they fail this exam, most of them will not be able to write another exam in the future due to age limit. Their lives have become hell due to the betrayal of some evil officials.

Not all those who wrote the exam will get KAS posts. But the sense of injustice that lakhs of students who wrote the exam in Kannada medium were deliberately given wrong question papers and were prevented from scoring marks will haunt them till the end. They think that the state government has poured cold water on our desire to become officers and cheated us. This was not necessary. The KPSC and the state government are directly responsible for this. The government must also take responsibility for correcting this.

As Chief Minister Siddaramaiah did in the past, he should immediately intervene and immediately withhold the results, and a solution should be formulated to correct the injustice done to Kannada medium students. The guilty officers should be prosecuted and jailed. Tens of thousands of people are gathering for the symbolic protest on Feb. 18. If the injustice is not corrected, the consequences will be serious.
