LAUNCH OF VARIOUS WORKS IN CHAMARAJAPET

Launch of various works worth crores in Chamarajpet assembly constituency: Why are BJP leaders not raising the Waqf issue after the elections – Zameer Ahmed Khan
Bengaluru, Nov, 30: Housing, Backward and Minority Development and Waqf Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan has questioned why BJP leaders who were raising the Waqf issue during the state by-elections and assembly elections in other states have remained silent after the elections.
Speaking after performing the Bhoomi Puja for various works worth crores in Chamarajpet assembly constituency, he said that BJP leaders unnecessarily raised the issue of Waqf everywhere during the elections. He criticized them for becoming complacent after the elections.
BJP does not want development. Their job is to create conflicts between Hindus and Muslims. Only Congress is working for the poor. But BJP is also obstructing the work of the poor. They are unable to tolerate the implementation of guarantee schemes. They are misleading people, he said.
The previous BJP government did not build a single house for the poor. The central government is providing subsidies for the construction of houses for the poor and collecting 18 percent tax in the form of GST on the government assistance amount. It is following an anti-poor policy, he said.
The minister said that he was happy that the long-awaited water supply and drainage work was completed and a total of Rs 57.64 crore worth of white tapping work was undertaken with the aim of giving a new look to the roads of Chamarajpet.
Former BBMP member and senior Congress leader Chandrashekhar Appodu, former BBMP member Kokila Chandrashekhar, Youth Congress General Secretary Rajiv, Water Board, BBMP officials and senior leaders were present at the program.
