NLBC (NARAYANPUR LEFT BANK CANAL (NLBC) SYSTEM PROJECT (NEW) PROJECT IS PLANNED TO BE COMPLETED BY MARCH 2021

New Delhi. Targeted to irrigate 1,05,000 hectares on priority basis. ·        Central Assistance is Rs. 721.53 Crore while expenditure till December 2019 is Rs. 644.44 Crore. New Delhi: Replying to unstarred question by Mr. K.C. Ramamurthy, Minister of Jal Shakti in Department of Water Resources , River Development and Ganga rejuvenation Mr. Rattan Lal Kataria stated, during 2016-17, five ongoing projects of Karnataka including Narayanpur Left Bank Canal(NLBC) Project were prioritized under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana – Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (PMKSY-AIBP) in consultation with the State for completion in phases. Funding mechanism through NABARD has been approved by the Government for both Central and State Share.
