Sir, Divisional Railway Manager of Bengaluru Division, Sh. Shyam Singh inaugurated the ‘Stall of Chanpatana toys’ under One Station -One product Scheme at KSR Bengaluru Railway station. Dr Anup Dayanand Sadhu, Chief Commercial Manager, Passenger Services, Smt Kusuma Hariprasad, Addnl Divisional Railway Manager were present on the ocassion.
Channapatna toys are special wooden toys and dolls manufactured in Channapatna town in Ramanagara district of Karnataka and have the Geographical Indicator (GI) tag.
Bengaluru Division has alloted a stall on pilot basis which is maintained by Channapatna Handicrafts Artists Association under Atma Nirbhar Bharath Abhiyan for promoting local products.
