Bengaluru: Bescom’s work in upholding Kannada, language and culture is commendable; Dr. C. Somashekhar.
Chairman of Border Development Authority Dr. C. Somasekhar said that it is commendable that the employees who give light to Nadi are upholding Kannada language culture through such programs.
Speaking at the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava program organized at BESCOM head office premises in KR Circle, Bangalore, he said that BESCOM is doing well in electricity supply. Along with this, it is a matter of pride to do one’s own thing in saving and cultivating Kannada. He said that steps have been taken to install Kannada nameplates in all electricity offices and electricity supply stations in the border area.
BESCOM Managing Director Mahatesh Belagi said that for the past many years the work of saving and cultivating Kannada by the staff and employees of BESCOM has been going on continuously. Accordingly, a lavish program has been organized to depict Kannada language and culture. He said that this should be done continuously.
BESCOM Technical Director Nagarjuna, Finance Director Darshan and others were present.
The cultural program held by various famous artistes was appreciated by the BESCOM staff.
