Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s longest sea bridge ‘Atal Setu’ on Friday (January 12). Also known as the ‘Mumbai Trans Harbor Link’ (MTHL), this bridge connects Mumbai to Navi Mumbai in just 20 minutes instead of 2 hours. It will enable people to count.
Ban on rickshaws, bikes
Two-wheelers, mopeds, rickshaws and other three-wheelers, tractors and other slow vehicles are prohibited on the new bridge. Bullock carts and any animal-drawn vehicle are also prohibited. In view of the safety of the passengers, the police have prohibited the entry of the above mentioned vehicles.

Toll fee
Vehicles traveling on the new Atal Bridge will have to pay a toll fee. 250 for one way trip. If booked, a two way trip is fixed at Rs.375. The Maharashtra government has said that the toll fee will be revised after one year.
