Bengaluru 10th Jan. The Kamataka State Bar Council is a Statutory Body established under the Act of Parliament and having entire Kamataka State Jurisdiction dealing with the ( a ) Enrolment of the Advocates , ( b ) determination of cases against advocates for misconduct , ( c ) safeguard the rights , privileges and interests of the advocate , ( d ) promote the growth of Bar Association etc. , The Kamataka State Bar Council consists of 25 elected members who are elected from the legal fraternity from the State of Karnataka . Advocate General of Kamataka is representing as Ex – officio Member in the Council . There are around 200 Bar Associations across the State which are spread over the Hobli , Taluk & District headquarters . These Associations are co – ordinating with the Bar Council in implementing the aims and objectives of the Council . Shri Motakpalli Kashinath , Hon’ble Member and Advocate from Kalaburgi is elected as Chairman and Shri . Chandramouli B.R. , Advocate , Mysore is elected as Vice Chairman of the Council . The newly elected Chairman , Shri Motakpalli Kashinath has prioritised his resolutions to enhance the basic facilities like Library , e – library , Computers and Advocates . adopting new technology in the field of advocacy in the Judiciary to all the Shri Motakpalli Kashinath also promised to take up the matter with the Government of Kamataka in extending the financial assistance in the form of Stipend to the newly enrolled young Advocates and he has also promised to bring special grant under Article 371 ( 3 ) to Hyderabad – Kamataka area Advocates who are basically from the rural , poor and first time entrance to this advocacy . Shri Motakpalli Kashinath also promised to take up the matter very seriously for extending the insurance policy to all the advocates and also he has sough co operation of the fellow council members , Government and Advocates in enacting the Advocates Protection Bill to protect the interest of the Advocates .
