L J Ravi Chief Commissioner Mr. Tushar Girinath instructed the officials* to take appropriate steps to establish our clinics in all 243 wards under BBMP by the first week of January and appoint suitable doctors for all our clinics at the earliest.
Addressing the meeting held regarding the establishment of our clinics under the BBMP, he suggested to take action to supply 2/3 of the medicines required for our clinics to be established in the BBMP by KSM SCL as per NUHM guidelines.
He instructed to complete the tender process as per NHM guidelines for supplies of stationery, medical equipment, ICT equipment, lab reagents, branding works required for our clinics and supply them to all our clinics by the first week of January.
Many times the walk-in process was undertaken to assign medical officers to our clinics, but the candidates for the post of medical officers did not report, and in this context, the candidates for compulsory contract period service, who are already eligible for counseling in the Health and Family Welfare Department, were advised to conduct counseling and assign them to our clinics of BBMP.
Special Commissioner Dr. Trilok Chandra said that the repair and renovation work of 243 of our clinics will be completed by the end of December and all 243 of our clinics will be ready for inauguration in the second week of January.
In the meeting Shri Randeep, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Department, Shri Naveen Bhat, Manager of National Health Mission, Yogesh, Joint Commissioner of Western Zone, Chief Health Officer, Dr. Balasunder and other senior officials were present.
