The inauguration of the facility today was graced by the presence of Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Health and Family Welfare.  Govt of Karnataka, who led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.  His participation highlights the government’s support to enhancing the mental health infrastructure and recognizes Sukoon Health’s role in pioneering psychiatric care services in the region.

Leading Bengaluru Psychiatrist, Dr.  Satish Ramaiah, serves as the Executive Director of Psychiatric Services and the Center Head.  Dr.  Ramalah has contributed significantly to the field through his research in addiction.  learning disabilities, and sleep disorders, with his findings published in esteemed medical journals.

According to a detailed study by The Lancet on “The Global Burden of Disease Study 1990-2017, Karnataka reports a prevalence of 3,500 cases per 100,000 population across various mental health conditions (without making a distinction for severity), highlighting the urgent need for enhanced  mental health care infrastructure
