D.K. Shivakumar’s media response:*

Just as the BJP used the pretext of Covid to stop our Mekedatu Yatra, they are planning to stop Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.  A letter has been written to Rahul Gandhi saying that Covid will increase, so stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra.  4-5 cases have been filed against me and Siddaramaiah during Mekedatu Padayatra.  Similarly, they are going to promote that no one should go to Rahul Gandhi’s yatra.

There is no scientific information on this issue.  In addition to this, there has been unofficial information that the police officers have been instructed to prepare for holding fake elections early due to Covid.  Our party is ready whenever they hold elections.

Corruption is increasing in the state.  Parliament Member Pratap Sinha and other leaders have spoken about the crores of transactions for the post of Vice-Chancellor.  There is no end to corruption when it comes to providing employment to the youth.  Cooperative Ministers are dummy.  He has not given money to any society and APMC.  There is no help for farmers and milk unions.  All the DCC Bank has given the money to the sugar mills and colluded with them to prevent the banks from getting the money back.  500-600 crore loan to cooperative banks.  Behind this illegality is the connivance of ministers and MLAs.

BJP leaders are giving money to cooperative banks to acquire property.  Minister Somashekhar has not tried even a single day to stop the injustice being done to these cooperative banks.  Yediyurappa, ministers, Chief Minister Bommai have come to his defense.  Apex Bank has its own processes while granting loans.  But here the loan is given without all the processes.  If what I am saying is false, file a defamation case against me.  According to Bommai, the BJP is the Gangotri of corruption.  Leaving such people, IT and ED will attack me.’
